Picnic celebration of the 199 Years of independence of Uruguay
Fundación Casa Uruguay proudly celebrated the 199th anniversary of Uruguay’s independence with a delightful picnic that once again brought together the Uruguayan community and friends from various nationalities.
This year, the event featured the distinguished presence of consular representatives, including Consul Gustavo Avellanal Freire, adding a touch of formality to the celebration. The music was expertly handled by DJ Sudaka and Daniel Navarrete, who filled the atmosphere with vibrant rhythms. Additionally, Mrs. Mary Barrios captivated the audience with her beautiful tango performances, while Marcello Loquillo Sanguinetti on the timbales and Nico Perez also singing, brought even more energy and joy to the event.
With over 320 attendees, the picnic was a resounding success. Families enjoyed a variety of activities, including a dance contest that fostered fun and connection among the guests, creating a warm and festive atmosphere for everyone. These gatherings not only strengthen our ties to our distant homeland but also allow us to share our rich culture with the world.
We sincerely thank everyone who joined us for this memorable picnic and helped make the day an unforgettable experience! We look forward to your continued support in the coming years, and we hope our community will keep growing and enriching itself with every new celebration.
